Ghostie

Ghostie, now about eighteen weeks old, is the jersey calf in the front. This is the girl who nearly died of scours at the end of August, but was resurrected and ran around like a little ghost (hairless, for several weeks). She's still smaller than she ought to be but looks pretty normal for a calf that spent twenty-four hours a breath away from death.
When she sat up again, I was wondering if the life had been worth saving - but her recovery has been uneventful.

In the post below, Runner is the calf who hasn't been edited off the side. Her mother is competing for fattest cow in the herd at present - not competing, there's no competition even close.
