Friday thirteenth July
saw cow number one (r3) drop the first calf of the year - a jersey bull, son of Lynbrook Pan Taylor - ten days before her due date.
He hasn't fed from her and is hungry and cold (we had a light frost this morning), hence the uncomfortable stance. He's had a couple of bottles of her milk since.
