Not a carry-over (I had to check the numbers to verify that, as I did buy a few carry-overs). They arrived at about c.s. 4.5 (1 June) and have been putting on weight ever since - even grazing the roadside doesn't seem to slow it down. I haven't named any of the cows yet, but many of the calves have names.
...and some of my cows have a different number in each ear, and that's really confusing the AB technician.
The calves that have names so far have earned them - Mona is noisy, Runner ran away, Mermaid was dropped into a puddle at birth, Naturally doesn't have an AB daddy. Ghostie nearly died. Their calfhood exploits will live with them forever.
